Speed Racer Movie Bombs At Box Office

The mostly cgi movie Speed Racer has officially bombed at the box office. Its weekend ticket sales were only around $23 million compared to unexpected hit Iron Man which took in over $50 million over the weekend and so far has made over $177 million. This despite that $200 million dollar Speed Racer is written and directed by the Wachowski brothers. Who? They be the creators of The Matrix monster movies. Goes to show that showbiz is highly unpredictable.

      Your total for the weekend is a bit early. It’s only Saturday. Also Speed only cost $100m. Check your facts emigre.

      I saw the movie and it was GREAT!

      It did cost about $140+ mil and it didn’t even break the $20 mil mark over the weekend;this is such a bomb that they won’t be allowed to show it on airplanes.:D
