David Cook Is American Idol 7 Winner
Against all odds, rocker David Cook has emerged as the official American Idol Season 7 winner after beating favorite David Archuleta by 12 million votes. A total of over 90 million votes were cast.
All judges gave David Archuleta their votes and most media outlets predicted a David Archuleta win over David Cook even though on iTunes, David Cook had more downloads and this blog also had far more searches for David Cook than David Archuleta.
I think this gives quite abit of credibility to a show that’s often criticized as being more of a popularity contest than a talent contest. This is one rocking American Idol finale!
