Britney Spears To Join Madonna’s Tour?
Some have blamed the infamous Madonna and Britney Spears kiss during the 2003 MTV Awards as the trigger of the Britney Spears decline resulting in all kinds of Britney Spears high jinks: Britney Spears performance slammed, the fall of Britney Spears, and Britney loses custody of kids.
Now Madonna is going to make up for it by reportedly asking the troubled star to join her upcoming tour to try and help resurrect Britney Spear’s career. Madonna met up with Britney Spears in New York on Sunday (06Jul08) to record a video, which will be broadcast on big screens during her upcoming Sticky and Sweet tour, due to kick off on 23 August (08).
Madonna also wants the media to leave Britney Spears alone. “They need to step off,” she told the “Yo on E!” satellite radio show. “For real … Let’s go save her.” The singer, who’s married to film director Guy Ritchie, also said 11-year-old daughter Lourdes “gets the drift of what’s going on, and I think she feels very protective of Britney.”
