Ellen DeGeneres Weds Portia de Rossi
Popular daytime talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are married reports Fox. Ellen DeGeneres had announced her wedding plans on her talk show in May the day after the California Supreme Court’s ruling to lift its ban on gay marriages. The ceremony was attended by 19 guests, including DeGeneres’s mom Betty and de Rossi’s mother Margaret Rogers, who flew in from Australia for the occasion, People.com reported Saturday night.

Ellen DeGeneres joked that “Planning a wedding is very stressful. It’s crazy. My gardener is now invited.” but added, “I think someday people will look back on this like women not having the right to vote and segregation and anything else that seems ridiculous that we don’t all have the same rights.”
