Ricky Martin Is Father Of Twin Boys
Former pop idol Ricky Martin is the father of twin boys via a surrogate mother. A released statement by the pop singer’s rep read, “The children, delivered via gestational surrogacy, are healthy and already under Ricky’s full-time care.”
“Ricky is elated to begin this new chapter in his life as a parent and will be spending the remainder of the year out of the public spotlight in order to spend time with his children.” No further details regarding the babies nor the surrogate mother are available.
Seems like this is becoming a popular way for gay men to become fathers, although Ricky Martin, a long-time supporter of children’s causes around the globe through his Ricky Martin Foundation, has never confirmed or denied that he is gay.
This is also how American Idol finalist Clay Aiken became a father to the child of good friend, composer David Foster’s daughter.
