Madonna’s Sweet And Sticky Tour
Reigning queen of pop Madonna kicks off her Sweet And Sticky Tour at Cardiff Millennium Stadium in Wales with a video message for all.
You can see her “peeps” trying to ass-kiss her in the video. Madonna just turned 50 and is still relevant in the music scene, unlike the sad case where Michael Jackson turns 50.
The tour promotes her Hard Candy album that features a duet with Justin Timberlake for her smash hit 4 Minutes. The series of concerts will last 45 days in Europe, North and South America.
Madonna’s concert has been criticized for the huge carbon footprint it will produce - 1,635 tons of carbon pollution in travel alone. The emissions generated by the singer’s tour are equivalent to that created by 160 Britons in an entire year and equal to the emissions generated by leaving a standard 100 watt lightbulb on for about 4,000 years.
She will fly to 37 venues for the roadshow in just under four months, transporting a team of 250 that includes nine wardrobe assistants, 12 seamstresses, a 12-piece band, a chiropractor, personal trainer, masseuse, 16 caterers and around 100 technicians and dancers.
If these pictures are anything to go by, her concert promises to be incredible - what a far cry from the recent scary Madonna and child photos.
