American Idol 2008 runner up David Archuleta is acting in Nickelodeon’s iCarly TV show that enters around a high school student, played by Miranda Cosgrove, who runs a video blog with her friends.

David Archuleta will play a contestant on an Idol-style show called America Sings in the episode, “iRocked the Vote”. He gets a huge spike in votes after winning support in an iCarly webcast. The episode will air in spring.

All part of the marketing machinery following David Archuleta’s new single “Crush”.
