According to the Daily Mail Hollywood gossip news, Johnny Depp will net $55 million for the next Pirates Of The Caribbean movie for his role as Captain Jack Sparrow, following an earlier report: Johnny Depp In Fourth Pirates Of The Caribbean Movie. The fact is, without Captain Jack Sparrow, there can be no Pirates movie.
This is the largest UPFRONT payment for an actor. Given the huge success of the first 3 films which earned over $2.7billion at the box-office, it’s no wonder Disney is willing to fork out the big bucks to get Johnny Depp. Seems like his co-stars, Keira Knightly and Orlando Bloom however, are unlikely to return.
