William Shatner Unhappy He’s Not In New Star Trek Movie
Film director/writer/producer JJ Abrams is making Star Trek without Captain Kirk and William Shatner is not happy even though he tried to be nonchalant.
The JJ Abrams Star Trek movie due next summer stars Zachary Quinto (Sylar from Heroes) as the young Mr. Spock and Chris Pine as the young James T. Kirk.
William Shatner has been making YouTube videos on his channel addressing this where he said he wasn’t in the new Star Trek movie because “nobody asked me.”
JJ Abrams responded in interviews that he couldn’t think of some way to include Shatner that wouldn’t seem lame. And so the exchange via 3rd party media continues.
Leonard Nimoy does put in a cameo appearance as the elder Mr. Spock.
