Katie Holmes Broadway Debut
After a month of previews, Katie Holmes debuts on Broadway with the Arthur Miller play, All My Sons this week. As there were members of the anti-Scientology group, Anonymous at the first preview: Protesters At Katie Holmes Broadway Debut, they were also present at the official opening.
Unless you have been living under a rock, you’ll know that Katie Holmes is wed to Scientology’s biggest icon, Tom Cruise. About 35 protesters carried signs reading “Run, Katie, Run” and chanted “Scientology kills” from a cordoned-off area down the block from the Gerald Schoenfeld Theater.
However, while Tom Cruise attended the preview, he was not present this opening. The protesters were mostly young and many were wearing masks from the movie V For Vendetta. They say that they were not protesting against Katie Holmes but wanted to save her from Scientology. Anonymous is a group connected by the Web that protests monthly outside Scientology buildings.
And if anyone’s interested in how she performed, it’s in the “mixed reviews” area - neither outstanding nor bad.
RUN KATIE, RUN!
