Jennifer Hudson’s Mother And Brother Shot Dead
Academy Award winning actress Jennifer Hudson’s mother and brother were found shot in their home on Friday. Police are searching for a suspect and also a young boy, possibly Jennifer Hudson’s nephew who is missing from the house.
Police said that neighbours reportedly heard shots fired in the area in the morning but the bodies were only discovered in the afternoon.
“A missing child was possibly abducted from the scene… and may be in the company of William Balfour, a suspect in the double homicide investigation,’ police said in a statement, adding that the man was ‘considered armed and dangerous”.
It is not known if Balfour is related to the family.
Jennifer Hudson was one of the finalists in American Idol but was voted off. Her big break came when she got the part of Effie White in the 2006 film version of stage musical Dreamgirls that won her an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
Reports said that Jennifer Hudson was in Florida when she was told of the incident and is making her way back to Chicago.
