Sad news indeed. Police have confirmed that a body found is Jennifer Hudson’s nephew. Police said the body was found shortly after 7am in a SUV parked on the street in a neighborhood of brownstone homes and apartment buildings, that matched the description given. Sources said “the boy was shot multiple times in the back of the vehicle, with at least one gun shot to the head.”

Chicago police have a suspect, the estranged husband of Jennifer Hudson’s sister, William Balfour in custody on a parole violation but has not been charged for the murders. Balfour is not the father of the boy.

American Idol judges, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell have sent their heartfelt condolences to Jennifer Hudson. “This is a horrific tragedy and my thoughts and prayers go out to Jennifer and her entire family,” Abdul said on Monday. Simon tells Extra, “I was horrified when I heard the news. This is an appalling tragedy. My thoughts right now are with Jennifer, and her family.”
