Madagascar 2 Tops Weekend Box Office
Lame animation movie Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa is tops the weekend box office with $63.5 million as families headed to the movies in a bid to escape reality. Dreamworks Animation Head of Marketing, Anne Globe said, “It just shows people seem happy to escape to the movies and have a good laugh,” noting that while the bulk of the audience was made up of parents bringing their kids to the movies, there were also teenagers and adults on their own.

2. “Role Models,” $19.3 million.
3. “High School Musical 3: Senior Year,” $9.3 million.
4. “Changeling,” $7.3 million.
5. “Zack and Miri Make a Porno,” $6.5 million.
