Activists from PETA dumped a bag of flour on Lindsay Lohan who wears fur regularly when she turned up at a Paris nightclub where Sam Ronson was spinning. A statement from PETA reads, “Lohan has enraged animal lovers by appearing in at least two different fur coats in recent days, despite PETA’s repeated pleas that she consider how animals suffer for every fur garment and stop wearing their skins. She was named on PETA’s annual Worst Dressed List earlier this year.

PETA Europe’s Robbie LeBlanc told press, “There is nothing remotely fashionable about the torture and death of animals killed for fur. Lindsay Lohan might be able to ignore images of bloody animals skinned alive for their pelts, but we hope a dash of flour will help her rise to the occasion and forsake fur once and for all.”

Sam Ronson was miffed by the incident and wrote in her blog, “The girl who threw [the flour] acted like an animal herself,” Ronson wrote on her MySpace blog. “I take that back, it’s an insult to animals to group her in with them, my dog is FAR more civilized than that person. I think there are plenty of families that could have used that flour for a meal. Nice job, lady.”

“It’s a pity that some groups feel the need to assault people as opposed to fighting with words,” Ronson adds. “Whenever I feel the need to vent about something that feels unfair to me I reach for my computer, I don’t run out of the house with abusive intentions. I don’t expect everyone to react the same way, but I do expect people to respect each other.”

C’mon Lindsay, surely you know you shouldn’t be wearing fur.
