Tom Cruise Knew He Wanted To Marry Katie When They Met
The New York Times T Magazine has done a celebrity gossip feature on Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes channeling Bogart and Garbo in a retro photoshoot. Katie Holmes says that she doesn’t go online to read about herself, “I would get too upset and overwhelmed if I read or looked at what’s out there.”
“There’s a misperception about me that I just became this wallflower, this woman who doesn’t have any control of her life,” she continues. “And that’s pretty wrong. From the very beginning, I’ve made choices in my life that have been very strong.”
In a separate interview in T Magazine, Tom Cruise says, “I knew I wanted to marry Kate when I met her,” he says. “After our very first date, I was sure. At one point, I thought she was going to ask me to marry her first and I cut her off by changing the subject. I wanted to ask her.”
