Joe Satriani Sues Coldplay For Stealing “Viva La Vida”
Guitarist Joe Satriani says Coldplay stole Viva La Vida from his instrumental, “If I Could Fly”. Earlier, another band Creaky Boards had also claimed rights to the Coldplay song saying that Chris Martin had stole their song after attending their concert.
With his copyright infringement suit, Joe Satriani is seeking damages and “any and all profits”. Take a listen to both songs in the video and decide for yourself.
