Madonna Sues Tabloid For Publishing Stolen Pictures
Always busy, Madonna won the case against the Mail for publishing personal pictures of her wedding in 2000 that were stolen from her Beverly Hills home by an interior designer.
She is seeking damages in excess of 5 million pounds ($7.5 million) from the publishers of the Mail which published 11 photographs over the front page and a double-page inside spread that it reportedly paid US$7,500 for. The decision for the compensation amount will be deferred to January.
The photos were taken by Jean-Baptiste Mondino and given to Madonna as a gift.
