Golden Globes 2009 Nominations List
The 66th Annual Golden Globe nominees were announced in Los Angeles. Some might remember that last year’s ceremonies were reduced to a news conference because of the writers’ strike: Golden Globes Awards 2008 Cancelled.
A couple of surprises here – Clint Eastwood has been left out of the Best Director and Best Actor nominations while Tom Cruise who has a relatively minor role in the comedy Tropic Thunder has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor.
The Golden Globes is seen as the biggest indication of who the winners of the Oscars will be.
