American Idol Season 8 Opener Viewership Down 10 Percent
According to Nielsen Media Research, the season debut of American Idol Season 8 on Tuesday night saw audience viewership down 10 percent from the 33.4 million who watched the season opener of the Fox network show in 2008. However, it is still the most-watched prime-time show of the TV season so far.
The latest season of American Idol sees the addition of a new judge, Kara DioGuardi: New Judge For American Idol Season 8 Revealed, plus some changes to the show’s format: American Idol To Be Revamped which is a wise decision as the show is getting to be somewhat repetitive.
So far, the only contestant to have caught my attention is Emily Wynne-Hughes – a tattoo covered singer with a band who’s gorgeous and can sing non-diva style. I hope she goes far in American Idol.
