Solution to traffic jams

It switches from a plane to a car with retractable wings and could be the first step towards those gravity-free vehicles zipping along invisible highways in the sky you see in countless science fiction movies.
Invented by an MIT PhD student, it’s called Transition with the first prototype ready by 2008. Tagged as “a roadable aircraft”, the personal air vehicle (PAV) is 6 metres long, 2 metres wide with folded wings and carries 2 passengers. It can fly 100-500 miles at 12,000ft high and reaches speeds of 193km per hour. Price is set at US$148,000.
Cool stuff but I wonder how traffic control is going to work.
