The Return of Twin Peaks
The original cult TV series Twin Peaks is making a return here. Way before The X-Files became the must-see TV, Twin Peaks blew away everything else that was on 12 - 15 years ago. There was no reality TV and scriptwriters were still in demand.
It had a massive following not only because it was cool and entirely different from anything anyone had seen, but because its creepy characters in a seemingly charming little town, its surreal sequences involving dwarfs and giants who spoke an alien language and the ultimate bogeyman “Bob”, all make for compelling TV. This is the world of David Lynch.
After the series ended, a film “Fire Walk With Me” was made to wrap the story. Twin Peaks is on Arts Central, Tuesday 11pm. If you missed it the first time round, make sure you catch it now.
