The end for The OC
Once the darlings of Fox TV and the hippest must-see teenybopper series which burst onto the small screen in 2003, The OC has been cancelled after its ratings dropped by half after a promising debut season.
With a cast of attractive teenagers, it was the updated version of Beverly Hills 90210 made grittier with the use of indie songs which made several then unknown bands famous. The bands themselves often showed up on the show as well. The show follows a group of friends and families based in the well-off area of Newport Beach, whose lives are changed by the arrival of an outsider.
