Matt Giraud sang “Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman” by Bryan Adams from the movie Don Juan for American Idol Top 7 theme – Songs From The Movies. He’s made the fundamental mistake of American Idol contestants – wrong song choice. The song doesn’t lend itself to Matt Giraud’s style of riffing and sounds ridiculous when he tries to force it.
Randy points this out saying, “you can’t do all that stuff with a simple melody…not one of your best.” Guest judge Quentin Tarantino (does being a film director qualify him to judge a singing competition??) tells Matt to enunciate.
