Celebrity Divorce – Mel Gibson’s Wife Files
Hollywood sees yet another celebrity divorce – Mel Gibson’s wife of 28 years has filed for divorce citing the anything goes reason – “irreconcilable differences”. Celebrity gossip news sites report that Mel’s wife, Robyn apparently filed for divorce after 52-year-old Mel was spotted frolicking on a beach in Costa Rica with a brunette the UK’s Daily Mail says is a Russian musician named Oksana whom Mel met on the set of his latest movie The Edge of Darkness.
Oskana is one of the artistes on Mel Gibson’s US recording label.
Celebrity rumors site TMZ alleges that there was no prenup which means that Robyn could be entitled to half of Mel Gibson’s US$900 million fortune under Californian law. Robyn who separated from Mel 3 years ago around the time Mel was arrested for DUI, has requested spousal support and attorneys’ fees. The couple have 7 children but only one is a minor, 10-year-old Tom whom Robyn is seeking joint physical and legal custody.
Robyn has engaged lawyer Laura Wasser who handled the celebrity divorces of Britney Spears and Kevin Federline, Angelina Jolie and Keifer Sutherland.
