American Idol top 12 guys
Did they suck or did they suck. All were impressive at the auditions but their debut on the main show really disappointed. As usual, Simon was spot on in not being impressed at all.
To begin with their song choices were really puzzling. Take a look at the songs chosen by each contestant:

* Nick Pedro – “Now and Forever†by Richard Marx
* Blake Lewis – “Somewhere Only We Know†by Keane
* Sanjaya Malakar – “Knocks Me Off My Feet†by Stevie Wonder
* Chris Sligh – “Typical†by Mute Math
* Jared Cotter – “Back at One†by Brian McKnight
* AJ Tabaldo – “Never Too Much†Luther Vandross
* Phil Stacey – “I Could Not Ask For More†by Edwin McCain
Except for the Keane song, the rest of the songs were karaoke fare from the time when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Now it’s not a matter of who is good enough go move onto the next round, but rather who is the least terrible. Judging from their performance last night, I really couldn’t cared less who went home, although I do like the chubby guy Chris Sligh for dissing Simon by mentioning The Teletubbies and Il Divo both of which are Simon Cowell creations. Teletubbies? Wow, never would’ve guessed. Simon was really riled and for once he could not utter a retort.
