Matt Giraud “Stayin’ Alive” MP3 Video
Matt Giraud sang “Stayin Alive” by The Bee Gees for American Idol Top 7 disco week. Attempting a Bee Gees song is dangerous because you will most likely end up sounding karaoke. Looks like Simon Cowell wasn’t being a wet blanket when he hinted that Matt would have trouble this week after being saved by the judges last week.
Randy Jackson says he, “didn’t love the song choice or the arrangement…you can really sing dude.” Kara DioGuardi and Paula Abdul both kinda liked it but couldn’t really say why – “I like the way you move” and “you sing the way I bowl” – what the hell’s that suppose to mean? Simon Cowell didn’t like it that much saying, “I didn’t like that performance. I think you have to put your self in the real world…it came across as desperate..the vocals weren’t great…not original.”
