Kris Allen sang “She Works Hard For The Money” by Donna Summer for American Idol Top 7 disco week. What an unlikely song choice for Kris but he puts his own jazzy arrangement and does a great job with his performance.
Kara DioGuardi says, “you took a real risk with that arrangement, it paid off big time…so impressed with you…it sounded like it could go on your record.” Randy Jackson says it was “amazing” and that Kris is “ready for the big time…you know who you are you come out every week.” Simon Cowell says it was “a complete polar opposite to the first performance (referring to Lil Rounds) – it was NOT karaoke.”
