American Idol 8 Top 4 Results Allison Iraheta Voted Out

Allison Iraheta has been voted out on the American Idol 8 Top 4 results show. A record 64 million votes were cast, most likely because Adam Lambert fans voted in full force after last week’s freak (and probably rigged) results that saw Adam in the bottom 2. Allison Iraheta sang “Cry Baby” by Janis Joplin and her poor song choice cost her even though Kris Allen put on a merely passable performance. Plus, her lack of popularity with America is also another reason why it’s not really a surprise that she goes home.
Because there was plenty of time for the American Idol rock week results show, Kris Allen was sent to safety first much to his own surprise, followed by 4 performances from guests No Doubt, Daughtry, Paula Abdul and the opening number “School’s Out” by Alice Cooper with Slash and the Top 4.
After that, Adam Lambert was sent to safety and finally Allison Iraheta was sent home. Rock on, Allison – you’re on to bigger things now.
Next week, the American Idol 8 Top 3 will sing 2 songs each, a song of their own choice and the other is judges’ choice.
