Paula Abdul Presents Scott MacIntyre With Guide Dog
American Idol judge Paula Abdul surprised this season’s blind contestant Scott MacIntyre with a guide dog from Guide Dogs of America in Sylmar, Calif. Scott told celebrity gossip site Access Hollywood that the night he got voted out of American Idol, Paula Abdul took him aside and told him, “I have a wonderful surprise for you in a couple of weeks.”
Scott won’t get his dog immediately however as he has to go through a 28-day training process that will match him up with a dog that’s right for him.
Paula jokes, “we have to find a dog that really likes loud music.”
Scott went to the event for the National Guide Dog Month under the impression that he was there to sing. You rock, Paula.
