Angelina Jolie Tops Forbes Most Powerful 100 Celebrities
A-lister Angelina Jolie has toppled talk show queen Oprah Winfrey as the world’s most powerful celebrity according to the Forbes Top 100 Celebrities list. This is not because she made $27 million in the past 12 months thanks to a movie schedule that included “Kung Fu Panda,” “Wanted” and the not-yet-released spy thriller “Salt.”
She is also able to make headlines consistently not just for celebrity gossip news following the birth of her twins, but also for her philanthropic efforts and her relationship with actor Brad Pitt, who ranks No. 9 on the list.
Oprah Winfrey who is No.2 earned $275 million last year making her the top earner on the list even as viewership for The Oprah Winfrey Show continues to erode.
