Some lucky fans of Michael Jackson will be able to pay their last respects to the pop icon this coming Tuesday, according to Hollywood celebrity gossip rumors site ETonline.

The Michael Jackson Public Memorial Service will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Los Angeles’ Staples Center.

A total of 17,500 tickets will be made available to the general public—11,000 for inside the Staples Center and the remaining 6,500 who will be able to watch from across the street at the Nokia Center, which will be filled with huge-screen TVs streaming the live event.

Fans can register for tickets at the Staples Center Web site until 6 p.m. on Saturday. Then, on Sunday, 8,750 people will be chosen at random to receive two tickets apiece.

Tim Leiweke, the president and CEO of sports/entertainment corporation AEG who is organizing the event, said no tickets are being sold, and there will not be a funeral procession at the service.
