Laura Ling And Euna Lee Released

US journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee who were detained and sentenced to 12 years hard labour in North Korea under charges of spying have been released.
This came about after former US president Bill Clinton made a surprise stop in the country to negotiate their release.
Laura Ling and Euna Lee who worked for former vice-president Al Gore’s Current TV, have been imprisoned in North Korea for over 4 months during which thousands of activists and supporters particularly in the US have been campaigning for their release.
A statement released by the journalists’ families read:
“The families of Laura Ling and Euna Lee are overjoyed by the news of their pardon We especially want to thank President Bill Clinton for taking on such an arduous mission and Vice President Al Gore for his tireless efforts to bring Laura and Euna home. We must also thank all the people who have supported our families through this ordeal, it has meant the world to us.”
Good work, Bill. Now let’s bomb the heck out of North Korea.
