Vote for the worst on American Idol
There is a conspiracy theory going around the internet which explains why Sanjaya is still on American Idol. A group of people want the worst performer to win to sabotage AI. Known as “Worsters”, these people think AI let through some bad singers on purpose during auditions to provide entertainment for the show. They even have their own website to rally the troops.
One self-confessed Worster is a familiar face - Paris Bennett - an AI reject from a previous season. She said on a radio show that Idol is a “joke” and that she and a few other contestants are voting for Sanjaya to show how ridiculous AI is.
Says US presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton when asked about Sanjaya, “Well, you know, people can vote for whomever they want. That’s true in my election, and it’s true on ‘American Idol.” Let’s hope she has a more defined stand when it comes to US foreign policy if she becomes president.
