Singer Chris Brown has been sentenced to 5 years probation, 180 days community labor and 52 weeks of domestic violence counseling for assaulting Rihanna: Chris Brown Charged With Hitting Rihanna

Although Rihanna was willing to testify at a trial, Chris Brown cut a deal with prosecutors that precluded a trial.

Hollywood celebrities gossip news rumors site E!Online reports that Chris Brown had been known to have previous offenses prior to his arrest for assaulting Rihanna.

The first offense cited occurred in Europe about three months before his arrest. Per the report, he and Rihanna were engaged in a “verbal dispute” when she slapped him and he responded by shoving her into a wall.

In another incident while the couple were vacationing in Barbados, they got into an argument that led to Chris Brown getting out of the range rover they were in and smashing the driver and front passenger side windows.

The judge also ordered the protective order to be extended for 5 years forcing him to stay away from Rihanna, adding that she means business and will violate his probation if he dares violate the terms.
