Paris Hilton Sues Hallmark
Socialite Paris Hilton has sued gift card giant Hallmark Cards for using her image and catchphrase, “That’s hot” on one of their greeting cards.
A federal appeals court has ruled that Paris Hilton may pursue her lawsuit that said Hallmark violated her privacy and right of publicity by ripping off a scene from her reality TV show ‘The Simple Life’ on a birthday card captioned ‘Paris’s First Day as a Waitress.’
Hallmark lawyers must have been sleeping on their jobs all this while. Don’t they vet these things before printing?
