Ellen DeGeneres Guest Judge So You Think You Can Dance Video
This is why some are feeling apprehensive about talk show comedian Ellen DeGeneres being the fourth judge on American Idol. When she guest judged So You Think You Can Dance, she basically turned the judging parts into mini Ellen shows with her jokes taking up the most time.
Seeing as how American Idol season 8 had timing problems that resulted in some judges not being able to speak after a performance, it’ll be interesting to see how the show manages with the time constraint.

Seriously, I think they should just stick with 3 judges. The contestants should be given more airtime than the judges to showcase their talents.
