New iMac design guesses

With Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference 2007 happening over this week, I thought it might be interesting to post a few new iMac designs done by Mac fans. The conference has already seen the release of new MacBook Pros which utilize the Santa Rosa chipset.

Mac forums are rife with rumours of a new industrial design for the iMac which is overdue for upgrades for both in its hardware and software. With Apple putting all its efforts into the upcoming fugly impractical iPhone, and ignoring Mac computer users, forummers have come up with their own vision of what the new iMac should or would look like.

All acrylic bezel with a slightly curved keyboard. Very futuristic and smoking hot. My personal fav. If only the Apple design team are paying attention.

Design 2
An industrial take on its current design crossed with the Apple display. I like the hi-tech aluminium body and smaller “chin” though it’s merely reworking an old design, not exactly ground-breaking.

Does it look vaguely familiar? That’s because it’s based on the fuglyiPhone screen. Still, it’s not entirely repulsive but I really hope it looks nothing like this.

How ugly can the new iMac get? This OMFGugly. Looks just like a PC.

So which design is your favourite?
