David Letterman Scandal Disgusts Viewers
Last night, David Letterman became his own punchline and not in a funny way. After he revealed he had been a victim of an attempted extortion over his affairs with various women who worked on the show, viewers have expressed their disgust for the talk show legend.
Viewers also turned sleuths as they try and spot female employees who have been seen in videos of the show on YouTube. A possible candidate is one Stephanie Birkitt who worked as an on-air assistant and co-incidentally lived with the alleged extortionist, Robert J. “Joe” Halderman, a producer for the true-crime show “48 Hours Mystery.” Birkitt often appeared on the show working on audience interactions.
Halderman in the meantime has pleaded “not guilty” on extortion charges.
