Little Britain Star Matt Lucas’ Ex Found Dead
Kevin McGee, 32, the ex-husband of Little Britain star Matt Lucas was found hanged. He is thought to have taken his own life after leaving a message on Facebook saying: ‘Kevin McGee thinks death is much better than life.’
Matt Lucas who gained fame in the comedy series Little Britain and Kevin McGee met in 2002 before marrying in a flamboyant pantomine themed civil ceremony attended by 400 guests, including Sir Elton John in December 2006.
The marriage broke down after Matt unsuccessfully tried to get Kevin off his drug addiction.
Friends of Matt said he was still cared very deeply about his former partner, and that he was ‘blindsided’, ‘devastated’ and ‘destroyed’ by news of McGee’s suicide.
