Blake Lewis MP3 American Idol disco night
Blake Lewis overused his beatbox formula and did terribly on Disco Night or more appropriately, Barry Gibb night. Randy Jackson was right in saying that the Blake Lewis beatbox was getting old because he was doing it for every song now. Neither songs, the classic BeeGees, You Should Be Dancing and some tuneless and obscure This Is Where I Came In worked with the beatboxing.
As far as being an American Idol, Blake Lewis has the whole package for easy marketing. Although vocally, he’s not outstanding, he has that extra talent of beat box which when used appropriately does make a song contemporary and special. He shouldn’t fee too bad though cos everyone, including Melinda Doolittle had possibly their worst night ever. I hope he gets enough votes to stay in the competition.
