Melinda Doolittle MP3 American Idol disco night
It was a tough night for everyone, even for the consummate pro that is Melinda Doolittle. It was the night where she received the harshest comments from all the judges, and rightly so. Firstly, BeeGees songs though great, are not exactly the easiest to sing since most of them are originally sung in falsetto.
All the contestants chose a new and old song – new meaning the 80′s and old, the 60′s and 70′s. Everyone had a hard time, with possibly Blake Lewis performing at his worst. Melinda Doolittle put her best efforts and professionalism into those 2 BeeGees songs, Love You Inside And Out and How Can You Mend A Broken Heart but somehow, they just fell short. I’ve said it before and I say it again – making the contestants sing a narrow choice of songs is plain silly.
