Currently a hit cover version by Mark Ronson, who shortened the title to Stop Me, this song was originally by the dynamic duo of Morrissey and Marr of that quintessential alternative indie band of the 80’s, The Smiths.
Being a staunch fan of The Smiths I must say Mark Ronson’s version is not bad. I like the drum arrangements and the song feels like it could fit as the theme song for a Bond movie.

Here is The Smiths original. Known for their morose, amazing songs, Morrissey who wrote lyrics, had a number of songs with long, intruiging titles such as Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want and Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me. Long live The Smiths.
