Whoopi Goldberg Mistakens Ian McKellen For Dumbledore
Whoopi Goldberg embarrassed herself and her co-hosts during this interview in The View with Sir Ian McKellen when she asked if he was “coming back to Harry Potter”. Sir Ian, of course, is the OTHER wizard, Gandalf in Lord Of The Rings.
Sir Ian replied, “Well, if I were Mike Gambon, I might. But I don’t play Dumbledore, I play in Lord Of The Rings,” and then gracefully added, “you’re not the only one to make that mistake and one wizard is much like another one…” while Whoopi tried to recover with, “I know better.”
Really embarrassing – next time, read up on a guest’s bio and don’t assume you know better.
Why does anyone even watch The View – a bunch of women who can’t stop talking over each other, blabbering non-stop superficially about issues they pretend to know or care about. Gosh!
