American Idol semi-final results

A lot of people are disappointed, myself included. America did it again. American Idol has lost its best vocalist Melinda Doolittle. Not that it’s any crucial bearing on a future career, but it would have been nice to finally have the best vocalist win for once.

Anyway, take a look at past American Idol winners: Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia Barrino, Carrie Underwood, and Taylor Hicks. Only Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood are still in the news.

Those voted out along the way who tried but tanked: Justin Guarini, Tamyra Grey, Mario Vazquez, Diana DeGarmo, Kimberly Locke, Kellie Pickler, Paris Bennett, Constantine Maroulis, Bucky Covington, Bo Bice, Elliot Yamin.

Those voted out and currently having success (or reasonable success):
Clay Aiken, Chris Daughtry, Katharine McPhee.

And of course the now diva-wannabe Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson.

I’m not sure if I’ve missed out anyone.
