Paris Hilton talks about her jail term
Paris Hilton broke her long time silence on her upcoming jail term at the 2007 MTV Movie Awards. Seen at various clubs cramming in as many parties as she can before reporting at Lynwood facility by midnight on Tuesday to serve her 23 days in jail for driving with a suspended license, Paris Hilton said she loved the movie awards, “It’s fun and I wanted to do something nice before I went off.”
“I’m scared, but I’m being strong and I’m ready to face my sentence. And I hope that this can be an example to other young people in the decisions they make and use it as something positive. These past couple of weeks have been a lot of time for self-reflecting on my life and realizing what’s most important.” she said.
Meanwhile, Paris Hilton has been officially dropped by her record label for poor sales of her record. They invested $250,000 for her Stars Are Blind video which reached number 18 in the U.S charts. Her worldwide promotional tour brought in less that half a million record sales. Hilton’s second single Nothing In This World barely registered on the charts, reaching number 89 on the Billboard Hot 100 Pop Charts and soon vanished.
A representative for Warner Brothers said, “We are not expecting any new Paris Hilton material in the foreseeable future.” Not that Paris Hilton needs the royalty payments.
