Heath Ledger found dead
Actor Heath Ledger was found dead in his Manhattan apartment on Tuesday. There are conflicting reports as to how his body was found and the cause of his death.
The Australian-born Ledger, 28, who was nominated for an Oscar two years ago for “Brokeback Mountain,” has starred in many films such as “The Brothers Grimm” whose latest roles are as The Joker in the yet to be released Batman: The Dark Knight movie and “I’m Not There”, the film about Bob Dylan.
Police said Heath Ledger possibly died of a drug overdose as sleeping pills were strewn around the bed but TMZ reports that Heath Ledger was sick with pneumonia when he died. His family believe that Heath’s death was accidental and there is no evidence to support the buzz that he may have committed suicide.
Early reports had said that the apartment belonged to Mary-Kate Olsen. This was later confirmed to be false. Heath Ledger was found to be lifeless by a cleaning lady and a masseuse who arrived at his apartment. The cleaning lady called the police while the masseuse called the bodyguard of Ashley Olsen as they are friends and he’s an EMT.
Although he lived around the block at Ashley’s, the police had already arrived by the time he got there. Apparently Heath Ledger had already been dead awhile.

Michelle Williams is “devastated” by the death of her former fiance, Heath Ledger. She said that “words cannot describe” the pain she is in over the news about the father of her child, Matilda Rose. They met while filming Brokeback Mountain.
