Forbes Lists Most Powerful Celebrities
Singer Jennifer Lopez has been named tops in Forbe’s most powerful celebrities list which rank based on “media visibility” and social media reach – not just by how much money they make. So according to Forbes, JLo is the most powerful A-list celebrity on the planet.
Seems that becoming a judge on the flagging American Idol reality singing show has helped boost her star power, enabling her to snag deals with L’Oreal and Gillette, launch a clothing line for Kohl’s as well as a popular fragrance, and rack up 6.6 million Twitter followers and 12 million Facebook fans.
This in contrast to constant list topper Oprah Winfrey in second place who launched her OWN television network yet is still struggling with revenue generation.
Third place is teenybopper Justin Bieber with 21 million Twitter followers, 43 million Facebook fans, $55 million in earnings and has investments in tech start-ups, Enflick, Tinychat, and Spotify.
Others in the Top 10 list are Rihanna at 4, Lady Gaga at 5, new X-Factor panelist Britney Spears at 6, Kim Kardashian at 7, Katy Perry at 8, Tom Cruise at 9, and Steven Spielberg at 10.
