A hacker thought it would be fun to hack pop princess Britney Spears‘ Twitter with a message of support for satan saying, “I give myself to Lucifer every day for it to arrive as quickly as possible. Glory to Satan!”

This was quickly followed by, “i hope that the new world order will arrive as soon as possible! – Britney.”

Both posts were promptly removed with this tweet, “Britney’s twitter account was just hacked. The situation has been resolved and we apologize for any offense the hacker’s messages caused.”

LMAO.

Former supermodel Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber were the victims of an extortion attempt. AP reports that a German man has been arrested for trying to extort $100,000 from the couple with a photo of their then 7-year-old daughter gagged and bound to a chair.

A rep for the the couple told Hollywood celebrity gossip news rumors site ET:

A criminal complaint was filed today in federal court in Los Angeles by the U.S. Attorney’s office and the FBI stating that Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford have been the victims of an on-going extortion scheme. This crime has been committed by Edis Kayalar, an acquaintance of a former nanny employed by the family. Mr. Kayalar threatened to sell an image taken of the couple’s then-seven-year-old daughter.

There was no previous awareness by Mr. Gerber and Ms. Crawford of the existence of the photograph when they were contacted by Mr. Kayalar. The photo was taken by the former nanny as part of a purported game without the knowledge of the parents.

The couple reported the extortion threat to the police and the FBI began a criminal investigation in the matter. Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford intend to pursue any and all available legal action against anyone who aids the perpetrator in the distribution or sale of the photograph of their daughter.”

Joss Whedon’s TV series Dollhouse has been officially canceled according to E! Online.

“I feel [Dollhouse] is getting better pretty much every week,” he just wrote to his fans on Whedonesque.com. “And I think you’ll agree in the coming months. I’m grateful that we got to put it on, and then come back and put it on again.” Joss also promised, “By the time the last episode airs, you’ll know what my next project is.”

The current season 2 will serve to wrap up the series “in a significant way.” Dollhouse was originally rumored to have been canceled after season 1 but was given an extended life with season 2, much to the delight of its niche fans. But now, it seems that’s all it’s got.

Maybe Lindsay Lohan really needs a job, so her mom came up with this great idea to start a rumor that Hollywood celebrity gossip news rumor sites would lap up – she claims that Lindsay was dating Heath Ledger when he died from an overdose in January 2008: Heath Ledger found dead.

In a 2008 audio of a phone call between Dina Lohan and Lindsay’s father, Michael, Dina voices her worry about Lindsay:

“…and she was dating Heath when he died,” Dina reveals to Michael. “I don’t know if you know that, but I know cause I would drop her off and they were friends very, very close, ok?”

Dina told Michael about the relationship because she was afraid for Lindsay’s life too: “Because when she’s drunk or takes an Adderall with it she will do something like Heath Ledger did in a second without thinking.”

She said that the actor’s death was a terrible shock to Lindsay. “That f-f—-d her up,” Dina says.

Ok…can somebody give Lindsay a job so her parents won’t have to resort to creating fake rumors for their daughter.

According to Hollywood celebrity gossip news rumors site E! Online, there will be a Inglourious Basterds prequel – and this is no rumor. The quirky world war two movie directed by Quentin Tarantino already has some footage from the original movie that will be used in the prequel.

One of the stars of the movie, Eli Roth told E! Online, “All the time, Brad (Pitt) says, ‘Prequel, prequel!’ All the ‘basterds’ would jump on it in a second.”

“We have three scenes that we shot in Boston that take place before the war, and Quentin says if he does the prequel, he’s going to use them,” Roth said. “They’re not going to be DVD extras.”

“There’s a great scene with me and Cloris Leachman,” Roth adds. “I go and get her to sign the bat. It’s me and the little old Jewish ladies of the neighborhood.”

“[Quentin] has most of it written, so now it’s just a matter of figuring the whole thing out,” Roth said. “Quentin’s standards are so high that he won’t do it unless he feels like he can do it better than the first one.”

This is so exciting – Inglourious Basterds rocks – hope the prequel will be as good.

Britney Spears is known for lip-syncing at her concerts but apparently fans down under didn’t get the memo. Fans who attended her Perth “Circus” concert were said to have walked out, complaining of its quality. Hollywood celebrity gossip news rumors site Eonline! reported that fans accused Britney Spears of lip-syncing during her dance numbers as well as giving a lackluster performance overall.

One woman who paid $200 for her ticket said, “It was a waste of $200—I could have got four pairs of shoes for that.”

While another, Wendy Di Renzo, 36, said she paid $148 for her ticket. “It was so impersonal. She did not interact with her audience,” she says. “There were no big TV screens projecting the action, so if you didn’t know Britney, you might have even doubted it was her.”

And Britney Spears is getting no support from fellow singer, John Mayer who is also in Australia promoting his album. He tweeted, “If you’re shocked that Britney was lip-syncing at her concert and want your money back, life may continue to be hard for you.”

Britney Spears’ manager came to her defense saying that the lip syncing debacle was sparked off by a lone Australian journalist.

Meanwhile, thousands of fans have descended on Britney’s site with messages of support, saying that they enjoyed the concert and didn’t care about the lip-syncing. Now THOSE are fans, alright.
