Adam Lambert Twitters CD Cover Response

Adam Lambert Twitter

Turns out that Adam Lambert’s debut CD cover is indeed meant to be a joke – by Adam himself. He twittered that his debut CD cover is “deliberately campy” and “ridiculous”. This comes after scores of negative comments about the cheap and tacky looking cover flooded Hollywood celebrity gossip news rumor sites.

Apparently he heard them and decided to twitter in his own defense. “For those that don’t get it: oh well…Glad to have gotten your attention,” he added. “Androgyny. Rock n Roll.”

Well, if cheap and tacky was what he was gunning for, he certainly achieved it.

Celebrities Lose Millions In Hollywood Burglaries

Hollywood celebrity gossip news rumors

Hollywood celebrities including Megan Fox and Brian Austen Green, Zac Efron and Lindsay Lohan collectively lost millions of dollars worth of property in a spate of burglaries reportedly carried out by a teenage crime ring.

Los Angeles police spokesman Brett Goodkin stated that millions of dollars of property is believed to have been stolen by an LA area gang of teen suspects between late 2008 and Sept 2009.

“I wouldn’t say this was just a misguided scavenger hunt. There were at least 10 victims, and these were very serious crimes alleged,” said Goodkin, “the suspects in this case are not 12-year-old children … We have every indication this was a very successful, busy burglary crew.”

Hollywood celebrity gossip news rumors site People reports that a group of 6 teenagers, mostly 18 and 19 have been arrested in connection with the crimes. A seventh suspect is believed to be on the run. Jonathan Ajar, 27, is considered armed and dangerous, and is believed to be hiding out in the Phoenix, Ariz., area. The LAPD has nicknamed him “Johnny Dangerous.”

LAPD provided a photo Wednesday showing at least 80 glittering pieces of jewelry – including rings, necklaces and bracelets – belonging to Paris Hilton that were allegedly recovered from Ajar’s home.

Other celebrities whom police believe the group had burglarized include Rachel Bilson, Audrina Patridge, Orlando Bloom and DJ AM.

I hope this is someone’s idea of a joke. This is supposedly Adam Lambert’s upcoming CD cover. Arrggh…!!! is all I can say. Or maybe throw in some adjectives like “super tacky”, “cheesy” and other synonyms.

From the style of the art – pre-photoshop era airbrush, to the font – glowing with twinkles, to the pose – hand cradling the face, the background – lost in space effect and the angled positioning; the whole thing just reeks of 80s trashy euro disco long since abandoned even by Modern Talking.

This is more like some rabid fan’s wallpaper artwork – I just hope it’s NOT going to be the actual CD cover. Gosh, even the name of the CD – For Your Entertainment sucks.

Hollywood Writer Director Paul Haggis Quits Scientology

Hollywood celebrity gossip news rumors

Hollywood Oscar-winning director and writer, Paul Haggis has publicly renounced Scientology after being a member for 35 years, reports many Hollywood celebrity gossip news rumor sites. He left the cult religion popular with Hollywood stars including Tom Cruise and John Travolta.

Paul Haggis sent a scathing letter to the church’s PR guy Tommy Davis which says the church broke its promises on Prop 8:

In that first conversation, back at the end of October of last year, you told me you were horrified, that you would get to the bottom of it and “heads would roll.” You promised action. Ten months passed. No action was forthcoming. The best you offered was a weak and carefully worded press release, which praised the church’s human rights record and took no responsibility. Even that, you decided not to publish.

The church’s refusal to denounce the actions of these bigots, hypocrites and homophobes is cowardly. I can think of no other word. Silence is consent, Tommy. I refuse to consent.

Despite all the church’s words about promoting freedom and human rights, its name is now in the public record alongside those who promote bigotry and intolerance, homophobia and fear.

The fact that the Mormon Church drew all the fire, that no one noticed, doesn’t matter. I noticed. And I felt sick. I wondered how the church could, in good conscience, through the action of a few and then the inaction of its leadership, support a bill that strips a group of its civil rights.

“You might recall that my wife was ordered to disconnect from her parents because of something absolutely trivial they supposedly did twenty-five years ago when they resigned from the church. This is a lovely retired couple, never said a negative word about Scientology to me or anyone else I know – hardly raving maniacs or enemies of the church. In fact it was they who introduced my wife to Scientology.

Although it caused her terrible personal pain, my wife broke off all contact with them. I refused to do so. I’ve never been good at following orders, especially when I find them morally reprehensible.

For a year and a half, despite her protestations, my wife did not speak to her parents and they had limited access to their grandchild. It was a terrible time.

That’s not ancient history, Tommy. It was a year ago.

Paul Haggis wrote the multiple academy award winning film, Crash, Million Dollar Baby, directed and produced many others including Quantum Of Solace, Letter From Iwo Jima, Casino Royale and Flags Of Our Fathers. He also wrote for many TV shows including LA Law and Facts Of Our Lives.
